The Media Recruitment Party kicks off the year for student media and Xpress Radio! This is where you’ll get put into the teams you’re most interested in and get to meet all the people you’ll be working with over the next year.
The teams we have on offer are:

- Press / Marketing

Xpress Does The Sports Fayre

Xpress Radio doesn’t just do music – we love our sports too!
Xpress will be in the Great Hall again from 10am – 4pm to get you involved in our amazing sports team. If you’re interested in sports journalism, this is the place for you. We cover games from local to international, and have also commentated for the annual Varsity rugby match for two years running!
We’re looking for anyone with an enthusiasm for sport to do shows or reporting!

That’s Xpress Radio, your Union’s very own radio station – run by students, for students! If you want to get involved with presenting, producing, marketing, finding the latest music or planning the best events, come down to the Cardiff Student Media stall in the Great Hall (Students’ Union, first floor) to sign up to Xpress Radio.
There’s plenty of opportunity for people with all tastes in music – we go from mainstream in the daytime to specialist in the evening and weekends, which ranges from electro and drum and bass …

Xpress will be the first Welsh student radio station to achieve digital transmission, and as such we‘re having the party of all parties. Your usual AAA night is being hijacked by Xpress for a massive launch night!

On Friday 14th March, Mystery Jets will be performing an acoustic set in The Taf for FREE ! With their new album ‘21’ due to be released later this year, the band are sure to showcase some of their new material, including new single ‘Young Love’.
The gig will also be broadcast live on Xpress Radio on 87.7FM and DAB Digital Radio as well as online at www.xpressradio.co.uk.

GO GLOBAL is a festival of culture and diversity organised by Cardiff University Students’ Union in conjunction with Cardiff Societies and International students.
Together, we are campaigning for greater equality, diversity and celebration of culture here at Cardiff and giving all students the fantastic oportunity to get involved!
The two-week event at the end of February will see Cardiff Societies putting on fun and interesting events open to all students. This will then finish with a weekend of vibrant and expressive festivities in the Great Hall.
